A group of three celadon glazed jars for the South East Asian Market, 15th/16th Century.

Glazed in different pale celadon colours. One with ge glaze. Heigth 5-7 cm. Shipwreck.

Crazing, surface wear. Fritting.

Provenance

A private collection of Asian Ceramics. The collection was brought together by a Swedish gentleman with a career at within the Swedish Foreign Ministry. During the years posted in various countries in Asia the interest of Fine Art and Asian Art that he had with him from home developed and an academic study collection was formed. Friendships and alliances were made within the field that even resulted in arranging gest lectures for Mr Abu Rihdo, of Museum Pusat, Jakarta at the East Asian Museum in Stockholm in 1981.
